About me

Hi there! If you have come here, you are trying to find out a little more about me. First of all, let me say thanks and welcome! I am the husband of Heather and the father of Sam, Ben and Tyler. They form my world and are my greatest earthly treasures. I am humbled that my creator would bless me with such a great family.

I am the Children’s Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Henderson, TX. It is among these young hearts that I am learning to grow and stretch my walk with Christ and with my brothers and sister in Christ.

I am a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Art in Christian Education. I’m sorry but we don’t have a mascot, so I can’t make a weird noise or gesture to reference DTS should we ever meet outside of this blog.

Above all of these things I am a follower of Christ. I don’t say believer because anyone can believe in Christ (Satan certainly did!), but I hope to be a follower of Him. That means He infects every fiber of my being and eventually I disappear and am replaced with Him. Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me. May I be a faithful messenger of your Gospel.
